2013 – 2016

In 2015 I exhibited at Podium Mozaïek and De Nieuwe Poort in Amsterdam a series of paintings of the urbanized landscape along metro line 51 and the Business District Zuidas in Amsterdam. An area with high rise offices, industrial zones, large scale infrastructure, softening grass and infiltrated by informal structures and elements. These aspects inspired me to paint the formal and informal in a coloured and composed cohesion; two worlds contributing to urban pluriformity.

My Cornwall paintings were shown at CIRCLE Contemporary in Wadebridge, Cornwall, UK in 2015. Based on sketches made during a walking trip with my two sons along the West Coast, my paintings and works on paper show my impressions of the coast line and the undulating landscape with scattered houses around ports and waterworks in a colourful abstraction without loosing its figurative interpretation.
