1975 – 1983
These Greek landscapes with small white cities and scattered houses were a delight to experiment with abstract forms. At the same time this approach, at the beginning of my painting carreer, could easily conceal the limited drafting skills, which I imputed myself to, at that time. Some of these paintings I still consider as very powerful and whorthwhile to further explore. This work together with a number of abstract still lives were exhibited in my first exhibition at the Ballast Nedam House in Amstelveen Holland.
